marine monitoring technology center
We have set up the Marine Environment Monitoring Technology Center of Third Institute of Oceanography, Ministry of Natural Resources, specializing in environmental monitoring technology research, environmental investigation and monitoring. It is a national inspection and testing institution with qualification accreditation (CMA) approved by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China.
The Center consists of 8 professional laboratories, including Key Laboratory of Global Change and Marine-Atmospheric Chemistry, Laboratory of Marine Biodiversity Research, Laboratory of Coastal and Marine Geology, Marine Sustainable Development Research Center, Laboratory of Marine Ecological Environment Early Warning and Monitoring, Ocean Dynamics Laboratory,Ocean Physics Laboratory and Science and Technology Information Center.
As a third-party testing institution, the Center has been constantly committed to improving the quality and service level of its work since its establishment in 1995. The CMA testing capability has reached 197 items (including 265 methods) in 27 categories of the home Institute and 182 items (including 155 methods) in 9 categories of the sub-sites. It covers eight fields including physical oceanography, Marine chemistry, Marine biology and ecology, Marine geology, Marine surveying and mapping, Marine radioactivity and isotopes, Marine physics and other fields. In recent years, it has continued to provide scientific, fair and accurate basic data of Marine environment for Marine scientific research investigation, Marine environmental investigation and evaluation, ocean-related engineering construction and Marine disaster monitoring projects, and to provide high-quality monitoring and testing technical services for the government, universities, enterprises and public institutions.
