The 15ᵗʰ APEC Ocean and Fisheries Working Group Virtual Meeting was Successfully Held

On Oct 20, 2020, the 15th APEC Ocean and Fisheries Working Group Meeting was successfully held online with the support of APEC Secretariat and the hosting APEC economy-Malaysia. More than 70 participants from 17 APEC member economies, including Australia, Canada, Chile, China, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Peru, Singapore, Thailand, Chinese Taipei, the United States and Viet Nam, and 7 International Organizations, such as Ocean Conservancy, RPOA-IUU, TNC, FAO, etc. to participate in the meeting.

The meeting focused on the progress on completed, on-going and potential projects within the working group, implementation plan for 2 Roadmaps on combatting IUU fishing and marine debris management and other matters including the transfer of OFWG Leadership.
APEC Marine Sustainable Development Center attended the meeting and made a presentation about the projects cooperation.
