Wu Risheng
Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Committee of Third Institute of Oceanography, Ministry of Natural Resources
A native of Tongling, Anhui Province, born in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province in February 1965, professor-level senior engineer. Graduated from Ocean University of China with a bachelor's degree in physical oceanography, Wu Risheng started his work in August 1985. He is currently the Secretary of the Communist Party of China Committee of Third Institute of Oceanography, Ministry of Natural Resources.
Wu Risheng has successively served as deputy head of the Marine Environmental Dynamics Laboratory of Third Institute of Oceanography, State Oceanic Administration, director of the Office of Science and Technology, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of TIO. He has been Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director-General of Third Institute of Oceanography, State Oceanic Administration since May 2015. He has long been engaged in scientific research, investigation and scientific and technological management of marine environmental dynamics and is now directing the work of the Party Committee of TIO along with being in charge of related scientific research work.
